Welcome to Macomb County Habitat Volunteer Hub!

Macomb County Habitat for Humanity works throughout the year; primarily on Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday and Saturday each week.  

We update the Volunteer Hub often with construction activities, so please check back with us regularly. We work RAIN or SHINE, and cancel only for lightning or severe weather. Unforeseen circumstances may warrant a change; ie permits, weather conditions, etc., so please refer to the Volunteer Hub the day before your build date to confirm location and status.  If cancelled, we will notify all registered volunteers by phone and email, and indicate on the Volunteer Hub that the event is cancelled for that day. ALL Court-ordered community service volunteers MUST apply through the Restore. 
Applications are available at the Restore and must be filled out in person before starting your service.  Hours will not be approved for any Court-ordered volunteer that does not have the appropriate Restore paperwork prior to serving. Habitat for Humanity reserves the right to refuse any volunteer for any reason.

New Volunteer? Sign in to register! Please note that all NEW users Must watch the safety video (below) and take the short course attached to it. For insurance purposes, we cannot allow any new volunteers to work on build site without this training.

Click on the event to view map, directing you to the worksite location.  
Unforeseen circumstances may warrant a change; ie permits, weather conditions, etc., so please refer to the Volunteer Hub the day before your build date to confirm location. 

Please dress appropriately and wear closed toe work shoes; it's a Habitat safety policy and MIOSHA compliance requirement as well. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on construction worksites.  Those 16 and 17 years of age are permitted to work with restrictions on the worksites if accompanied by an adult 18 years or older and have their parent’s signature on the waiver form.  Call the Volunteer Dept at 586-263-1540 if you have any questions.

Scroll down to view and register for events.  Click on the event tab and scroll down to the worksite location. 

 Need to cancel your volunteer day? 

  • Sign in with your username and password. 
  • Scroll down to Your Upcoming Events. 
  • Locate the event you need to cancel and click the Cancel button. 
  • Follow the prompts to cancel your event. 

 

Forget your username and password?  Email Volunteer Relations Manager Terri Benson at tbenson@macombhabitat.org   Please include your first and last name and what you would like your new password to be. You will receive a confirmation email when your password is changed.   

         Habitat requires each new volunteer to watch the construction safety video prior to volunteering at the worksite Click the link here to watch www.hfhvolunteerinsurance.com. On home page click on Volunteer Tab, click on Begin Now, click on Take Training Course Now, enter access code- W8NAEBTG-submit, and go to Volunteering on Habitat for Humanity Jobsite. Volunteers need to complete “Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job Site”, which covers general safety and what to expect on the sites. After watching the video,you must take the quiz.Your safety is our 1st Concern.

Are you creative? Do you like to work with your hands? Are you a crafter, wood worker, artist or fancy yourself as a repurposing enthusiast? If you answered yes to any of these questions then WE NEED YOU!

Macomb County Habitat for Humanity is starting a Bid to Build On-line Auction website to help fund the mission! We would like to include items that have been donated through our ReStore and repurposed to become a one-of-a-kind item. All work will be done in our construction bay at 130 N Groesbeck, Mt Clemens, MI 48043;  Monday through Friday during the hours of 9-5.

We will also occasionally have evening hours available. Whether volunteering on a build sight, in our office or helping to raise money, YOU WILL make a great impact!

Euchre Tournament benefit for Macomb Habitat at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Community.

St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Community of Shelby Twp. will be holding a Euchre Tournament  to benefit Macomb Habitat on Friday, January 30th.  Doors open at 6:30 pm with play to begin promptly at 7 pm.  Tickets are $20 per person. It includes pizza, pop/beer and FUN!  (Must be 21 years of age or older to participate).  The church is located at 48115 Schoenherr Rd in Shelby Twp. (on the west side, between 21 and 22 Mile Road)

Tickets can be picked up at St. Therese's church office during weekday business hours or at the door the night of the event. Proceeds go towards building homes for low-income families within Macomb County.

Please come prepared to have fun and help us start off Macomb Habitat's 22nd Anniversary year!

General Construction  This house was built offsite by Dakota High School students and was then moved to Orchard Street. Plenty of work still  needs to  be done. We have heat and an indoor bathroom. Please help us get it owner-ready. Lunch will be provided. Please dress appropriately as some work will be done outside!
